Keren Ohr Building Equipment Fund

On June 7, 2014, Keren Ohr Messianic Synagogue had its first service in the Savannah, GA area. Over these last eight months, we have been blessed to minister to the people that God has brought through our doors in the small space that he provided for us free of charge. We are quickly outgrowing that space as we see a steady increase in attendance with every week. In December, we asked the congregation to pray with us, as we felt that God wanted us to find a space to rent that would provide room for growth. Our budget was small – not really adequate to rent a space with growing room – but we had faith that God would provide.
He must have big plans for our synagogue, because we have signed the lease on a 6,900 sq. ft. building that is $600 BELOW our monthly budget! This place is truly miraculous! It is already built out for religious use, with a sanctuary space, fellowship area with kitchen, and classrooms. It is an empty shell waiting to be filled with equipment, people, and praises to the Lord!
When we began Keren Ohr, less than a year ago, the blessing of using our current space was that it was outfitted with sound and lighting, extra chairs, etc. We didn’t have to spend or raise much money to begin holding services. Now we are presented with the miraculous blessing of a synagogue, but none of the necessary nuts and bolts to make it usable. It will need painting – inside and out, some cosmetic handy work, and lots and lots of equipment – chairs, speakers, cables, tables, and the like.
We are asking the people of Israel and of God to contribute to this building as they did in Ex 25:1-8. To purchase tables and chairs, gallons and gallons of paint, sound equipment, nursery items for our little kids – is not cheap. We have itemized everything and know we need to raise at least $25,000. That number seems very daunting, but we have complete faith that God will provide through His people. He wouldn’t give us the miracle of this building without already having a plan to provide a way to fill it.
Our lease and time of preparation begins March 1. The people of Keren Ohr will be working diligently to make this God’s dwelling place. Since we will have our first Shabbat service on March 14, we need to raise the funds now to begin our work as soon as we receive the keys.
The need is urgent and great – beyond our comprehension, but with God, all things are possibl!. If God is moving on your heart to help us outfit His Messianic Synagogue in this city, we know that He will bless your contribution and increase it! He has provided the house and now He will fill it with the help of His people. Be a part of our miraculous testimony to Savannah, GA!
