Kenzie's fight

#KenziesFight
On February 12, 2018, tragedy struck my niece's family when the car her two oldest daughters were riding in ran a stop sign and were hit broadside by a vehicle driving at highway speed near Kaukauna, WI. 14-year old Makenzie was in the front seat, 15-year old Antoinette in the back.
When first responders arrived at the scene of the accident, they required the  jaws of life to extract the girls from the vehicle. While the Flight For Life flew the younger daughter to ThedaClark Hospital in Neenah, the older daughter was transported in an ambulance, close behind.
Thankfully, Antoinette was released the next day with a fractured pelvis and is recuperating at home with her family. However, Makenzie remains in critical condition and has undergone multiple surgeries in the last 8 days to repair broken bones and relieve pressure on her brain.
Due to her condition, one of Makenzie's parents has to remain in or near the hospital at all times-24/7.   She hasn't regained consciousness yet and is still heavily sedated so the extent of her injuries are completely unknown at this time.
Makenzie's mom, Kristie, has been off work since the accident and is unlikely to return any time soon. So besides having her world shattered, she also has to worry about her family's well being and stability, her monthly bills, the travel expenses of going back and forth to check on her family at home, a vehicle that needs some work to be safe enough to travel in, and what will become an insurmountable hurdle of medical bills that have already begun coming in.
It's hard enough living every parent's worst nightmare but they shouldn't have to worry about the financial stresses of this tragedy and the possibility of losing the things they've worked so hard for.
So I am reaching out to our friends and family to, please, look into your hearts to help my family in any way you can.   Any and every little bit will help as will gas cards, credits to their mortgage company, utility company or even their cell bill so they are able to keep their home and  the lines of communication to the hospital open.
And as always, prayer is a powerful thing and they could use all the prayers they can get to make it through this so if you can't give in any other way, please, just pray!
