Dhow Sailing Regatta - Lamu

Donation protected
On New Years Day, there is a race on Lamu Island, Kenya in Africa – The DHOW Sailing Regatta.

We'll be recruiting some of the women Swahili villagers to train them to sail and form team Sailing Noire.

We are creating this team of mostly women in this male dominated sport in hopes of opening up the sport on the continent to encourage more women to participate.

We are looking to raise funds to cover travel costs, team equipment, and to take a documentarian who will capture the experience to get us in front of a wider audience. We have just one week to raise the money.

This support means the world to our team. If we are able to increase our coverage it means we can create a partnership that will allow us to bring this experience to additional cities in 2018.

For those of you who  are able to support $50 or more we will send you a print from Lamu.

For those of you who are able to support $100 or more we will send you a team shirt OR a print.

Thank you so much for contributing to the campaign!
