Justin & Lisa's First Trip to Kenya Dream Project Sites

Lisa and I are going on our very first trip to Kenya this summer from July 29th-August 14th.

The purpose of this trip is to visit all three schools (Nthimbiri, Nkubu, Kachiuru) we as a community have helped build together. We are extremely excited for this trip because this will be the very first time we will be able to document the impact we have made across the world.

In addition, Lisa and I will be making new connections with other villages around Kenya so we can further broaden Kenya Dream's outreach; this will be the next chapter of Kenya Dream.

Lisa and I already booked our plane tickets to avoid rising airfare costs ($3579.40 for two roundtrip tickets [paid using money we don't have through our credit cards :P]), and through speaking with locals we estimate our in-country costs to be roughly $2500 (transportation to sites, lodging, and food). After we visit all of the sites, Lisa and I are planning on traveling to Maasai Mara National Reserve for leisure, but the $2500 will NOT be going towards this. We will be funding for this portion of the trip on our own ($1200 extra).

Lisa and I have been working together on Kenya Dream since its inception in 2007 and have never used any single donation from Kenya Dream towards our own expenses. In fact, many times Lisa and I have donated money from our own pockets to put together events such as Ken-Ya Dance.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough money to fund this entire trip on our own so any contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Lisa and I will be sure to document our whole trip so all of you who have been supporting Kenya Dream for all these years will be able to see the amazing impact you all have made.
