Kenya 2024 Relief Campaign

LIVN Global enhances the lives of disadvantaged young people, widows, and elderly in rural sub-Saharan Africa by providing essential aid and delivering sustainable community projects to enhance the lives and bring lasting change to many.

Over the past decade, Kenya has faced numerous challenges, including political unrest, tensions between the government and citizens, and concerns about the conduct of security forces, particularly during elections. Economic difficulties have also been significant, compounded by the misallocation of funds intended to support public health and well-being, such as the mismanagement of resources during the Covid-19 pandemic. In July 2021, a Human Rights Watch report highlighted how the stringent measures imposed by authorities, including curfews and movement restrictions, deeply impacted lives and livelihoods. As a result, vulnerable groups in Kenya, including widows, orphans, young adults, and young girls, have experienced increased marginalization, neglect, and hardship, with limited access to opportunities and protection.

LIVN Global has been working hard with our partners in Kenya, and have identified a subset of the populace that we can help in a number of ways.

We have identified the following locations where we will be reaching specific members of the community living in Siaya district, Kenya:

1. Child Protection Unit

2. ⁠Ebenezer Children’s Centre

3. ⁠Siaya Prison — Men

4. ⁠Siaya Prison —Women

5. ⁠Randago Dispensary (Health Clinic)

6. ⁠Siaya General Hospital

7. Barding Village

At these establishments, we will be supplying essentials including food, clothing, personal hygiene items and educational resources. We aim to encourage these people by sharing powerful positive messages to empower them to lead healthy and productive lives.

We are working to establish an essential and direly-needed, safe, fresh water supply to the people of Barding village and endeavour to assist the members of the community to kickstart sustainable projects to meet immediate needs of the community, providing a source of income over the long term.
