Care for Kenya: A Medical Mission Trip

Hello everyone! It's that time again! Time for me to head overseas to provide medical care to those who really need it. If you don't know me, my name is Kiersten and I'm a physician assistant in cardiac critical care and trauma.

Last April I went to Haiti to provide medical care, and in May 2013 I will be going to Oyugis, Kenya for 2 weeks to participate in mobile medical clinics in areas of Oyugis without access to healthcare. In Haiti my team saw over 800 patients in a week, which means this team will be seeing well over 1500 patients in May!

I can't wait to help the people of Oyugis, but I need YOUR help to get there! The trip itself is 3500 dollars and includes airfare to Oyugis, food, lodging, transportation in country, and visa fees. It does not include vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis which is why I made my goal 3600.
