Hi, my name is Oliver Jones. I am 13 years old and I am raising funds to support my planned 4 week expedition to Kenya, next year with Camps International.
During my time in Kenya, I will be supporting various conservation projects to support the local community, helping to improve the quality of life for both local people and animals. Examples of my work will include a focus on supporting education and healthcare facilities, establishing clean water sources and shelter for those most in need, vaccinating and treating local livestock to improve animal welfare and contributing to reforestation efforts.
Camp specific projects may include:
- Building classrooms with functional desks and chairs so children have a safe place to learn and no longer have to sit on the floor at school.
- Digging elephant watering holes to help them survive the dry season.
- Protecting local crops to ensure sustainable food sources.
- Carrying out maintenance work at the Rhino sanctuary to protect the Rhinos from poaching.
- Installing fresh water tanks at schools and in villages to provide easier access to clean, safe water.
- Goat de-worming to support the longevity of livestock.
- Cleaning up the beaches.
This expedition is so important to me as I am passionate about making a difference to those less fortunate and making the world a better place.
Please support me to do something AMAZING and help me to raise the funds needed to get me to Kenya! Every penny raised will go towards this all important cause and will make such a huge difference to so many people.
Thank you!
