Our beloved friend & Keller Williams Metro Center colleague, Kent Carter, was senselessly murdered while celebrating his 40th birthday in Turks and Caicos on Sunday. Kent was an incredible man who made everyone feel like he was their best friend. Kent was a leader, a friend, a loving father to his 14-year-old daughter, a partner to his girlfriend, a veteran, a phenomenal Realtor and real estate broker. He was known to be quick-whitted, held you accountable to your goals, was a connector of people, present in every moment, selfless, giving, thoughtful, driven, humble…we could go on forever. If you knew him, you knew that he made an impact everywhere he went.
The purpose of this fund is to live out the legacy that Kent would have wanted. This fund is to support his family with immediate expenses and yet mostly to support his 14-year-old daughter for her current and future education expenses and passions. She will need all the support we can give her, and we know this would be Kent's greatest wish and the best way to honor him, so please help us reach our goal!
Some say that they are taking peace in that his greatness is needed at a higher level, yet this is an extreme loss for all left behind. His loss is hard for all of us to process, yet we keep going back to his voice and what he would say at any moment that you might start to fall apart. He would say, “stay strong.” We speak for so many when we say there is so much love radiating from all of our hearts, knowing that you will be watching over us, protecting us and cheering us on. We will continue to ask ourselves every day...what would Kent do?
