In Memory of Kent C. Williamson

Kent C. Williamson entered the gates of heaven on Friday, August 2, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident. His sister, brother-in-law and niece were also in the car and were with him as they all met Jesus face to face.  He leaves behind Karen, his wife, his 6 children whom he adored.

Kent was a long-standing member of ICVM and the filmmaking community. All who knew Kent are brokenhearted and will greatly miss his sweet personality, iconic glasses and hat, and his kind and generous spirit. Our thoughts and continued prayers are with his wife Karen and their children.  Kent was always ready to help in any way he could.  He always had creative ideas and was excited to listen to your next great idea. He was always encouraging, open-handed, and openhearted.

Kent had the courage as a Christian and a filmmaker to tackle and produce documentaries that dealt with tough and challenging subject matters... All the while looking at his own faith, the Church today, our Culture and wanting to align everything with what he felt would be Jesus’ response.

Karen, Kent’s devoted wife, is left facing many unexpected costs of round trip flying to Michigan with their family and multiple memorial services. She also has the overwhelming task of handling the financial responsibilities that were formerly Kent’s area of expertise.  The decisions are daunting and would be for any family in this situation. The emotional and spiritual needs are also so very important to Karen. If you cannot give, we know she covets every prayer for their family currently and moving forward.
