Kenny Dorham's Backyard Fundraiser

We initially launched this fundraiser so that we could make what may be our last season* our best one yet. We are now asking for your help so we may have a season at all. Like so many others throughout the community, we are struggling in this rapidly evolving reality we now live in. While we don't know how long it will be before a sense of normalcy returns, we do know that we would like to continue our mission once it does.
DiverseArts works to preserve and promote the cultural diversity of arts in Austin, and this is reflected in our programming. We strive to not only feature the best soul, jazz, blues, funk, and international music Austin has to offer, but to make this music available to all members of the community, regardless of their ability to pay. Like so many other businesses, we rely on the increased revenues SXSW generates to help fund our operations throughout the year. The loss of additional revenue, while unfortunate, is something we can work around. But the loss of all revenue...
We know many of you are struggling as well, and there are many worthy causes in need of support right now. If you are in a position to give, however, it would be especially appreciated at this time. Any amount, big or small, will help us continue creating inclusive, diverse, community-minded events that celebrate the richness of Austin's music scene. As a special incentive, donors able to give $100 or more will receive a rare, original poster from our archives. Each poster promotes one of the many events DiverseArts has produced over the years.
