Kenny and Kristina Leggion
Donation protected
On November 6, 2020, Kenny Leggion was tested positive for COVID after several days of being sick and having symptoms. On November 8, 2020, he was brought to the ER by his wife, Kristina Leggion, they learned he had pneumonia but was discharged. On November 12, 2020, his wife brought him back to the ER, he was severely hypoxic, and they admitted him. 2 days later, on November 14, 2020, he was moved into ICU. It has been a roller coaster, he has had good days and bad, however, overall, it’s been bad days. The pneumonia has progressed and is filling his lungs. On November 25, 2020, he was struggling too much to breathe and the decision was made that he needed to be intubated. Then, on November 27, 2020, his status wasn’t improving and doctors said he was a perfect candidate for ECMO, something not offered in Baton Rouge. He was transferred to New Orleans and was put on ECMO. Prior to getting sick, Kenny was a fairly healthy, athletic, fit male. With no underlying respiratory issues. He works in the chemical plants and has not worked the month of November, and will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time. His wife is an ICU nurse, but has gone to New Orleans to be with him through this terrible, trying time. She is staying in a hotel while there, also for an undetermined amount of time. Kenny has 2 children from a previous marriage, Kristina and Kenny also have a 4 year old daughter together. This GoFundMe account will help ease the financial burden that is in their future, from the medical expenses and due them both being able to work. Any assistance for this amazing family will be greatly appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, prayers are just as appreciated. Please donate if you can, and share to those you know. Thank you!
