<div>Hello, my name is Tiffany, and<strong> </strong>I’m fundraising for my dog, Kenneth. If you know me, you know that Kenneth is my entire world. Wherever I go, he goes. He has supported me through so many difficult chapters in my life, and now it’s my turn to take care of him, and I hope you can help too.

<div>On November 9th, Kenneth was jogging at the dog park with his best friend, Oreo, when he suddenly yelped mid-run and began holding up his back-right leg. He struggled to put any weight on it and quickly became unable to stand comfortably. By November 10th, he had started on pain medications, injections, and laser therapy. Despite this, he was still in significant discomfort, and a torn cruciate ligament was strongly suspected. On November 11th–12th, we got his bloodwork back, which cleared him for surgery along with calling different clinics for quotes on TPLO surgery. On November 13th, we did sedated radiographs to measure the bone for surgery, and lastly, on November 14th, surgery was officially scheduled for November 26th, 2025.

<div>Kenneth is still uncomfortable today. Going to the bathroom is difficult, and he struggles with the stairs to my third-floor apartment. Because this injury affects a major weight-bearing hind leg, TPLO surgery is the best option to restore his mobility, keep him out of pain, and prevent long-term arthritis or damage to his other back leg.

</div>
<div>Kenneth is a 6-year-old Husky, Alaskan Malamute, and Samoyed mix, or how I like to put it, a failure of a Nordic breed dog, since he doesn't even like snow!

<div>A few things that make him who he is:

<li>He hoards every toy in the house like they’re treasures (I still believe he is part dragon).
</li>
<li>He insists on opening the window to get a nice breeze when driving.
</li>
<li>He’s my ESA; he helps me in many ways.
</li>
<li>He’s a Husky who doesn’t bark. I can list the number of times I have heard his voice.
</li>
</ul>

<div>He’s more than a pet; he’s my partner in everything. His absolute favorite things in the world are walking, hiking, and going camping with me.

<div>All donations will go directly toward Kenneth’s medical care and recovery essentials. Below is a medical costs breakdown:

<li>Pre-surgical diagnostics &amp; medications (bloodwork, sedation, radiographs, initial pain medication): $1,000

<li>TPLO surgery estimate: $2,100
</li>
<li>Post-op medications, rehab, &amp; laser therapy: $500 (Will be an ongoing cost)

<li>Recovery items: $300
</li>

<div>To keep him comfortable and safe during the recovery period, the recovery items include:

<li>Orthopedic dog bed
</li>
<li>Support harness for stairs
</li>
<li>Wagon so he can still enjoy fresh air and “walks” while healing

<div>If we exceed the goal, any additional funds will go toward follow-up X-rays and long-term therapy to prevent arthritis.

<div>A TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) is a major orthopedic surgery required to repair a torn cruciate ligament. Without it, dogs remain in significant pain and can develop long-term arthritis and loss of mobility.
