Love persists.

Michelle was a go getter, an adventure seeker, with a heart full of boundless joy and love, her life was a shining example that sometimes our greatest challenges are our greatest gifts.

When a pacemaker and defibrillator were both needed at the very young age of 16, doctors told her being a mom may not be possible. But love persisted.

Michelle met Dustin in 2009 and the love affair that began her “forever after”, was celebrated with holy matrimony on December 13, 2014. And as love persisted, they found doctors that believed in Michelle’s heart, and supported her and Dustin’s desire to start a family. They were ecstatic to be able to get pregnant.

At 4 months of her pregnancy, doctors found that the lead wires of her device were in need of replacement and determined surgery would be necessary.

Led with great purpose and empowered in her desire to be a mom, they gave birth to their perfect daughter, born August 30th. Michelle and Dustin were obsessed with the perfect gift of life.

The replacement surgery was planned for November 21st, giving Michelle 12 weeks to absorb the ultimate perfectness of her newborn daughter.

The outcome of the surgery was unfathomable, even understanding the possibilities of complications, and Michelle’s family let her go to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

And, still, love persists… her family was able to carry out Michelle’s wishes, and offer gifts of organ donation to countless individuals while eternally providing the never ending gift of life…

Michelle’s impact was felt daily as she worked in schools with families with children diagnosed with exceptional learning abilities. Michelle “got” these children in ways no one else did as stated by Melanie VanRoekel “Michelle taught me to be a better mom for Caden and my girls. Michelle and Caden had an incredible love affair; her level of intuition and understanding of this beautiful nonverbal boy was a miracle to witness. If you ever saw them together, you know what I mean. It transcended the end of her role as our nanny, and she went on to just be a member of my perfectly imperfect family.”

Michelle’s perfectly imperfect family of her own needs our help… with the death of Michelle, Dustin is a heartbroken, only parent to a 3 month old baby girl.

We are confident that love persists and through the beautiful life that Michelle lived, she left him with a community larger than life, to support their daughter, and him, as they live to celebrate the gift her life was to all of us.

Through this campaign we hope to provide Kennedy Kathleen Schull a foundation upon which she can build a future education.
