Please help my Christmas Wish Come True.  Let's help this Mare!

Meet Crimson, a 6-year-old mare that was headed to the slaughter plant in Canada.  Crimson was not only untouchable, but she was also viciously attacking, trying to bite humans and other horses.  I suspect her miserable behavior is what landed her on the kill lot. But, what I saw in Crimson was a greatly misunderstood horse, and I felt she needed a chance. My assumption was found to be correct. 

        I was hardly financially prepared for this endeavor, but I made a promise to her.  I couldn't stop thinking of her, after looking into her eyes.

         I have been working with her and she is taking small steps. She is learning to begin to trust humans, be haltered, touched, and she even walks with a lead rope! She simply loved her lessons, I see now I have never observed a horse more willing to learn than Crimson. 

        But now recently, my intuition was telling me there was something physically wrong.  Within the last few months, her mental state has declined.  She had developed an understated unsettled look in her eyes.  She has become fractious, always on high alert. She now no longer enjoys her lessons. Something was really 'wrong'.  

The vet has been summoned. They think it may be a tumor on her ovary, perhaps a uterine infection. I can see now how much pain she must be in. Her eyes reflect pain, fear, and confusion. 

I thought to myself, how sad to have been discarded, perhaps sent to your death for being in pain and by no fault of your own? 

So, I am committed to helping this horse, helping her get thru this,  and making her ready to be someones forever girl. 

I am going to need help financially. Pregnant Mare Rescue has offered to act as my fiscal sponsor so that all donations received can be a tax deduction for the donors. 

Please help me care for this girl. She deserves every chance to be healthy, and be in a forever home.
