It is with an extremely heavy heart to have to write that the world lost a great man this past weekend, as our Lord called him home. Kenneth Wietbrock passed away on March 16th, 2018. Ken is survived by his daughter Clara Wietbrock.
Ken dedicated his life to his family and his work. He lost his wife, Clara's mother less than a year ago, in 2017 unexpectedly. Ken worked in the produce industry for almost 30 years; from Albertsons, to Sierra Produce, Global Organics, Publix, and National Produce Consultants, LLC where he has been a valued part of our team.
Clara is currently in college at Texas A&M University. She is a wonderful young lady whom we at NPC have also had the pleasure of working with while she is home for the summers. This Go Fund Me is in memorial of her father Ken, and in support of her future as she completes her college journey and sets off to do great things in this world.
Ken was blessed to work in an industry that was centered around FAMILY. As a produce industry we are a family, from family farms, to all of the connections throughout his employment, and finally here to his family here at NPC, as that's what he was; a part of this family.
Clara has lost both parents within one year and comes from a very small family, therefore there is not a plan for a formal service. In lieu of flowers please offer a donation here. We want to ensure she has all of the support that the Fresh Produce Family can provide. Let's come together as an industry and as a family, and support the loss of a great man and support the future of his wonderful daughter.
