Kelsey's Lyme Fight

Kelsey was diagnosed with Lyme disease in the summer of 2015. This is an autoimmune disease often called the "Great Imitator" because it mimics the symptoms of several other diseases, making it very hard to diagnose. Kelsey's symptoms increasingly worsened until she medically withdrew from college during her junior year, and months later a blood test revealed multiple strands of the Lyme bacteria as well as an extremely low number of fighter white blood cells. Her main symptoms include chronic migraines and head pain, muscle pain and weakness, fatigue, nerve pain, dizziness, nausea, and adrenal fatigue. Other symptoms include muscle twitching, light-headedness, memory loss, poor concentration, ringing in the ears, weight loss, chest pain, heart palpitations, hormonal imbalances, and more.

Since summer 2015, Kelsey has been in treatment for Lyme disease and other co-infections, which requires the purchasing of 20-30 supplements, herbs, and medications each month. Though treatment has helped to keep the bacteria from replicating inside of her, it hasn't helped with her pain levels, and there are no pain management remedies that have worked. Along with oral supplements and medication, other treatments such as chelation, neurofeedback, matrix repatterning, laser treatment, frequency microcurrent, acupuncture, mistletoe injections, new medications/herbs/supplements, have all been tried, and some will be continued. Her current health diet requires her to stay away from grains, sugar, dairy, and processed food--organic and natural foods aid in her recovery but are more expensive.

Donated funds will help us to do everything we can to continue treatment and explore new options for the purpose of decreasing Kelsey's pain and healing her body. Currently Kelsey must continue with weekly appointments with a doctor in Denver, along with a couple appts a year with her Lyme doctors in Texas. We are looking into IV treatments at different medical centers to speed up recovery, each center requiring a great deal of money but showing great success, and we realize that the more funds we have, the more opportunites we have to get Kelsey well and functional. She is unable to work due to the limitations of her health and pain, and struggles often with simple daily tasks. Both Kelsey's immune system and liver are struggling currently, which leads us to wonder what other treatment options we can explore to help as quickly as they can. We know remission is very possible, we are just searching for a huge breakthrough!

This trial is very hard for both of us, and your support means the world. Any donation is helpful, and we appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and overall support.

Thank you all so much,
Ethan Williams
