Recently, our wonderful neighbour and friend, Kelsey, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Having been told it was benign initially, she is now due to have surgery within the next two weeks (mid Feb), followed by an intense course of chemo and radiotherapy. Alongside the mental and physical struggles of battling cancer, Kelsey is also going to face extreme financial struggles. She is a hard working business owner of KNB, a local cleaning company within Tonyrefail, and is also a Poundfit instructor holding classes within and around the locality. She is going to be out of work for at least 6 months, and therefore, will have no solid income to support her and her 7 year old daughter.

We as her neighbours, and friends are hoping to alleviate the financial burden, by raising a small fortune to allow Kelsey to focus on her battle, and not worry about not being able to support herself and her daughter.

We will also be working with some of the businesses linked to Tonyrefail Chamber of Commerce, to plan and run fundraising events.

Some of the proceeds from the local fundraising efforts will also be donated to MacMillan, a charity which Kelsey cites has having been amazing thus far.

We know times are tough for all, so please know that any donation will be received with more gratitude than we, or Kelsey, could ever convey.
