October 11, 2017 UPDATE:
As Kelly and Eric work with their medical team and planning best for Kelly's needs, their GoFundMe purpose has changed. Given the progression of her illness and current financial needs, all contributions will go directly toward daily living expenses, medical needs, trips to Iowa City, etc. Thank you so much for all of your help. Kelly and Eric are more appreciative than words can say. When everyone donates a little, we can, as a whole, help A LOT. Thank you!

Septemeber 2017 From Kelly:
I'm in need of a Mini-Van with lift. I was diagnosed with ALS June of 2016, but the process took a long time to get this. The doctors want to make sure and eliminate all things. So It really has been 3 years before the June Diagnosis. We have sold our house, auctioned most belongings and live in an apartment. I get SSD but that is basically nothing. My husband had retired to take care of his father with Alzheimer's and once got his parents in a care facility he tried to find work at the age of 57 and guess what no one would hire, but finally did find a job working for city mowing only in the summer. That was great, but the money wasn't. He will be able to take care of me in the winter and that makes me feel good. Remember I said we sold our house well we had to under sell it for a loss, which leaves us with money owed to bank, plus we still owe for two cars. The bank has tried to help, but we can't afford the payments. We are now in the process of Bankruptcy and giving back both cars. Most Vans with lifts are very expensive . We are desperate. My faith is strong and know his arms are around me at all times. Please I ask you to consider to help. I pray that his will for me is to live in comfort as long as possible. Peace & Love, Kelly
