On Monday morning, I went to the ER because my throat was hard and swollen. At the ER, it was decided that I needed to go to a better-equipped hospital. I traveled to Norton's in Louisville. As I got closer to the hospital, breathing became harder. When I finally walked into the hospital, I could not breathe at all. I coded. An emergency tracheotomy was created to save my life and breathe. It did the job, and I was able to be revived. However, during this time, a hole was created in my throat unknowingly. Trying to be weaned off the trach, I was using a speech cover to allow air in. However, since there was the hole in my throat, air and infection fueled my neck and jaw uncontrollably. I found myself again unable to breathe. I had another emergency surgery to save my life again. I am currently in the ICU, having to use a ventilator to breathe for me. At this time, I would like anyone that can to donate to me and my family. We are dealing with a lot, and one thing is the financial burden. Bills are piling up, and at this point, I don’t know where the finish line is. Thank you all so much!
