New Camera

         This is not me just my favorite picture from last year

      Hi, my name is Kelly Karnesky and I am a professional photographer. Since I began my career in 2007, I’ve been fortunate to shoot for a congressional campaign, take portraits of mayors, make movies, work with dozens of successful models, travel hundreds of miles to create art, shoot a few dozen weddings, and collect well over a couple of thousand souls through my lens.

I've done all of this while suffering from high anxiety and bipolar disorder. Being an independent artist, it took me a while to find a balance with my work flow and my personal life. The road has not been easy; to complicate it even more I've never really had a desire for money. It's something I don't put a lot of value in viscerally. However aware that the world we live in does not leave a lot of room for professional artists to share their talent without monetary compensation, enjoying the creative process without a greedy overtone is something I love and want to continue to do.
That all said, I find myself in need of a new camera and some extra gear. The money I raise from this gofundme will be used to acquire a new camera body, lens and hopefully lights as well. With my new company Apathetic Zebra, I have big plans to push my art in the direction I feel it needs to go. 2015 is brimming with opportunity; without proper gear I won’t be able to accomplish the quality of work I’m capable of.
