There are times in our lives when asking for help is not only a necessity, but a privilege. It's mine turn to do so.
For me, this has been a lifelong journey, but my last three years in the Bay Area have been some of the most important. By being blessed with an ever-growing and supportive community, life-changing relationships, and invaluable life experience to draw inspiration from, I've arrived at this most beautiful moment. Oakland has truly been a home base for me. I've also found "home" across community lines, over the internet, and with people I've never even met. Sharing "space" never meant so many things, and I am grateful for all the connections.
I've allowed myself to be touched by your brave and tender love, and am now ready to reach a new level of self "” a fuller embodiment of my being. It's my belief that we must participate in each other's dreams, take part in the making of each other's healthy livelihoods, and care about each other's physical, mental, and emotional wellbeings.
