*A Little ‘Rei’ of Light*
Donation protected
We’d like to introduce you to Kelly. She is 28 years young and the proud mother of an adorable three year old daughter named Reilynn. The two of them and Kelly’s husband Jesse attend our church, Life Church on Old Slate Run Road.
Ever since I’ve know Kelly, she has been fighting an aggressive battle against DIPG, a rare brain cancer, especially in adults. You may remember the sweet four year old little boy named Ethan that I used to babysit in NYC? He was taken from us far too soon by this same exact cancer.
Kelly’s fight now tracks beyond six years. She did go into remission, got married and had her daughter during that time. She never gave up. Sadly, the cancer returned. She has been fighting so hard, but God is preparing to take her from us soon.
We ask for our our friends and family to consider a donation of any amount. Even $5 can go a long way when you put it all together. She needs us, and her family needs us to help give Kelly a proper memorial when the time comes.
At this point, hospice is going to provide some equipment to make life easier at home, including a hospital bed. Kelly is still Kelly. She's as mouthy as ever and feisty. She's also planning on being at church on Sunday, going to a picnic Sunday evening, going fishing with Rei, going to the aviary with Jesse and Rei next week, and doing a spa day with friends the week after that. But she's not getting better at this point, so hospice is coming to make life easier through the next few weeks and beyond -- and we have no idea how long that beyond will be. But rest assured that Kelly is still Kelly, that she's still making plans, and that she will continue to blow up your news feed with recipes if you are her FB friend, lol. She's going to continue living until she can't.
We thank you for your time and consideration, and ask for your love and prayers for Kelly, Reilynn, Jesse and Kelly’s family so that they can enjoy their remaining time together.
