Kelly Hyder

Kelly was given the devastating  diagnosis of ALS one year ago,  on the heels of a Parkinson's disease diagnosis.    She is a mother of six children, the youngest 5 years old.  Kelly's ALS symptoms are progressing rapidly and she will need a wheelchair for mobility.  When that happens, she and her family will need a specially fitted van to get around in that will be very difficult to afford. The state of California has denied Kelly disability twice now and it has taken months a court date in May to appeal before a judge. In  the meantime they are doing their best on her husband's salary, but there is nothing extra for necessities, especially while paying Cobra prices for health insurance.  We would like to help Kelly get the van she needs so what income they have can stay directed at her healthcare needs and taking care of her and her family.
