Kelly Fisher's battle with throat cancer
Donation protected
I'm Jerry Wooden, class of 70 at SSHS. I'm starting this page at the suggestion of many of you to help Kelly Fisher pay for the nursing care he needs to fight his cancer. Kelly has a large node on the back of his tongue caused by a virus he had when he was young. Kelly has already undergone seven chemotreatments and 35 days of radiation. He has a feeding tube in his stomach because he can't swallow. He has lost 65 lbs and now weighs 98 lbs. The destructive effects of his treatments have just started to kick in hard. My wife, Darlene, has been taking Kelly to Emory for his treatments with the help of Nancy Moses, Melanie Rodgers, and people from Kelly's church, Holy Innocents'. Dale Schulze Masters and Leslie Thomas Cushman have kindly been helping Kelly with his feeding tube.
With treatments complete and Kelly getting weaker daily, he needs more constant help. We can get Nursing assistance, but Kelly's funds are dwindling quickly. I hate asking friends for help, but anything you can afford would be greatly appreciated. 100% of your donations will be used to help Kelly, with any remaining donated to a cancer charity.
