Im a mother of four beautiful and amazing children. This month I am going to turn 40 and after 17 years of living for my kiddos I have decided it's time I did something to improve myself.
My daughter suffered nearly fatal alcohol poisoning last March. She survived, thank God. Since going through this ordeal I have done what I can to spread the message about the dangers of teenage binge drinking. I created a post about our story that went viral and has been shared more than 750,000 times and recently appeared on a daytime talk show to speak about it as well.
I really would like to go back to school and pursue a career in chemical dependency counseling, focusing on teens. I have applied for grants and financial aid but of course that will not cover everything.
