Kelli Bowden Massage Therapist @ The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. Was just diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer. Treatment plan is still in the planning stages. Will most likely need surgery and possibly additional treatment modalities such as chemotherapy and or radiation therapy.
Depending on treatment needed I may be unable to work for short periods of time. My employer does not offer short term disability, and there is no guarantee that with the potential time off needed that my job will be secure.
As the sole breadwinner with 2 special needs children, being off for indeterminant lengths of time with no income will detrimental to my family's well-being .
