Kellee

I have a close friend I've known over a decade who needs our help. Imagine being a single mother trying to make ends meet and being in constant, intense pain. Kellee underwent what was supposed to be a simple laparoscopy. The inept doctor botched the procedure and created iliohypogastric nerve damage (in the abdomen). This happened a year ago and she's been struggling ever since. She works hard...even through the pain...and has been accepted to a school to be a cosmetology instructor. She can't take advantage of it until she is out of pain. It's difficult for her to work, but impossible for her to work and go to school while raising her daughter. If she was pain-free she wouldn't hesitate. I believe in standing on your own two feet and dealing with problems head on, but she has done everything and it has been to no avail. Now she needs help to pay the mounting medical bills and co-pays for her continued medical care. The following is the problem in her own words.                                  

"I need prayers please. My third Nerve Block Injection didn't work. I am in constant pain from Surgical Damage. Lawyers can't do anything because of NV LAWS that protect Drs & insurance Med Mal Caps. My Primary Care Doc even says I'm Medical Malpractice but its to difficult to fight case. I lay in bed & cry in pain. I dont go anywhere or turn on t.v. or lights much. Straight home to lay down. It severlely hurts to stand, sit or lay. Limp thru work. Lay on floor at work. I'm getting really worried. Can barely sustain my roof & don't have all the money for rent or bills coming. My car is running really bad still & its really really hard! Its hard to shower, go to grocery or even just be awake. I'm doing everything Drs say. I take my pain medicine. I hate it because I'm in a fog. I need to be well for Claudia & I. I've been suffering a year. Dr says more weekly follow ups & nerve blocks that take weeks to be approved by insurance. Then maybe a 35k Spinal Cord Stimulator that insurance may or may not cover. Plus, costs of health insurance every month, medicines, copays, rent, food for Dr. I waste no money & live a downsized simple simple life. If I could just get better I could make it! I've been offered a free full-ride Scholorship to complete school to be a Cosmetology Instructor (from the school I graduated from Academy of Hair Design). I'm trying so hard & need encouragement & prayers. Its really a struggle."
