Keilyn's Brain Injury Battle

Donation protected
For those of you who know her, Keilyn Gonzalez, is certainly one of the strongest people anyone has had the pleasure of meeting. For those who don't, she was a full-time student and waitress (a phenomenal one at that), on her way to pursue nursing school. Keilyn had such a bright future ahead of her until February 4th, her whole life was put on pause. All of our lives changed forever.

Keilyn was involved in a fatal car accident, where by miracle she made it out alive, but unfortunately the driver did not survive.

She suffered a traumatic brain injury leaving her in a comatose state in the intensive care unit at Kendall Regional Hospital for several weeks. Her injuries consisted of bleeding in the brain, leading to swelling on both the right and left side.

It's been roughly a month that Keilyn has been awake and began her long, and difficult journey of recovery.

Recently she was moved from Kendall Regional hospital, to an inpatient Rehabilitation Center. Her days cosist of 2 to 3 hours of hands-on physical, occupational and speech therapy to learn how to walk, write, and speak again.

As you can imagine, medical bills have sky rocketed. From being in the ICU for a month, to now occupational therapy, where the length of her stay is uncertain. Marleen, Keilyn's mom, is a Miami-Dade public school teacher and has been taking some time off of work to fully dedeicate being by her daughters side in her need of constant supervision and care.

I believe a great way to show your love and support for her is to help alliveate the stressful expenses, so her family may focus on helping her recover. All of the profits are directed to her medical expenses. No donation is too small, every dollar counts.

On behalf of Keilyn's family, whether you know her personally, or saw this post through a friend, there are no words to describe how grateful and thankful we are for the kind words and support she has already received. By no means will this journey be easy for Keilyn, but with prayers, and postive vibes sent her way, I know she headed for a full recovery.

Below I posted the link to the NBC report of the accident, but please feel free to message me with any questions you have.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! ♥
