Keighlie Renee Reaux Covid Relief Fund

9/12/21 Incredibly sad news. Keighlie lost her fight with COVID today. There aren’t words to explain the gravity of this loss. Please keep Amie and Joe, Keighlie’s siblings, and her two precious sons who will never know their mommy in your prayers. They all gained an angel today, but have a long road ahead of them as their hearts are completely shattered right now.

From Amie:

It is with a heavy heart that Joe and I  gained a very special Angel today.  Please keep our family in your prayers as this is one of the hardest days of our life.  Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, support, and prayers. ✝️❤️✝️

Keighlie Renee Reaux is 24 years old and fighting for her life after giving birth to her 2nd son whom she has not even been able to hold yet. She was diagnosed with Covid on July 26th at 38 weeks pregnant. On August 4th, Keighlie had an emergency c-section. To God be the Glory, her son was healthy, However, Keighlie wasn't. She was moved from Women's and Children's hospital to the Lourdes Covid unit the same day having to leave her boyfriend, newborn, and mother behind. Keighlie's health continued to deteriorate. On August 9th, she was placed into a medically induced coma, and she was ventilated. On August 21st, Keighlie's parents got the call no parent wants. Amie and Joe were told to get to the hospital ASAP, and bring the family as Keighlie had coded. Both of her lungs had collapsed. They were able to insert a tube into both lungs and stabilize her. She is a fighter! Unfortunately, her vent settings have been close to the max or at max since her lungs collapsed. It has been touch and go daily, sometimes hourly. We are cautiously optimistic the vent setting can move in the right direction after giving her lungs time to heal.

Keighlie's mother, Amie, is not able to work as she is the full-time caretaker of both of Keighlie's boys. Karter will be 2 in November and Krew is 3 weeks old. In addition, her dad, Joe, is the only one allowed to visit her. Therefore, he has to mantain a flexible work schedule. Also, her parents are now responsible for all of Keighlie's bills including her rent, car note, etc.

We are praying fervently, and covet your prayers for Keighlie to make a full recovery. If that be Gods will, it will be a very long recovery. As the doctor states, she will be in the hospital for months.

The desire is for them to not have any financial burden. In addition to Keighlie not having any financial burden at the end of this fight.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help care for the children until their mom can return home, and to ease the financial burden of growing medical and household bills. No amount is too small and is greatly appreciated. All donations go directly to her mom Amie.
