Support for Sterling

Hi, my name is Maria Pope and I am fundraising to help our neighbor, Ana, after experiencing the traumatic shooting of her dog, Sterling. On June 27th, Sterling was shot in the face at our local park and has been undergoing extensive medical care. Ana has already paid $8,000 in medical care and is facing at least $3,000 more in medical costs. Please help me rally behind our neighbor so that she does not have to worry about costs while nursing her baby back to health. You can read her story below:

“Around 3:30/4 am on June 27th someone shot my dog, Sterling, straight in the face at the top of Glenlake Park, on the gravel road right where there is a driveway to go into the apartment complex that is right there. My dog got out of the house (I live in the apartments right next to the park) and took off after a bunny, I chased after him and spent 20 minutes calling his name. After no luck I decided to go back and get my car. Ad I was walking back to my apartment I heard a gun shot but did not put two and two together (because why would anyone shoot a dog in the face) until I wandered into the park, finding a pool of blood and a long trail of blood to where I found my dog.

The location of where my dog was shot is close enough to my house to where I would be able to hear him barking at someone, but I didn’t hear a single thing except for the gun shot.

My dog is a sweet heart and would never approach someone in a aggressive way.

He is currently in a stable condition at Blue Pearl Animal Hospital.
