Keeping Up with Penny

We have started the process of adopting a beautiful 2 year girl with Down Syndrome from China! We are so excited that The Lord has put this precious angel in our path and that in a few months (possibly 12 months) she will have a forever family. We have been called to simply love the fatherless, and we know that The Lord will provide the strength and resources needed. Please remember pray for us throughout this adoption journey!

While the total cost of the adoption is over $30K, the next major amount of $6K is due by the end of November. We have already spent $13k to start the process. The overall cost includes home study fees, legal fees, first agency fees, travel cost to appear, and referral fees. It is time-consuming and expensive to navigate the international adoption process between two countries, but we know that bringing Penny home and providing her with a high quality of life is of the greatest importance and worth all the effort. 

We have broken the total amount into smaller goals, and our next goal deadline is by my 30th birthday on November 25th. We will then submit our dossier to China, and after this date, we will continuing working to raise the remaining fees. We plan to have a few different fundraisers, and I am thankful for friends and family that have stepped up to volunteer.
