Keeping Traditional UK CIRCUS alive!

Donation protected
For over 250 years the Great British Public have always enjoyed and supported our Traditional Circus.
Sadly in 2020 this could change, as our Government are looking at changing this to impose a Ban on Animals being used as part of any future Performances in the UK.
There are currently six Traditional Travelling Circuses in the UK with an array of International Circus Artistes and Animal Displays in their Shows.
This proposed ban would relate to Wild Animals only but its a fact that no UK Circus has used any "wild animals"  for many years, however today Exotic Animals are still used as part of the Show. There are just 19 Exotic animals in total who are displayed in our UK Circus, therefore we must fight to keep this Tradition alive!
As aforementioned only two of the six  UK (Animal) Circuses have Exotic animals forming part of their Shows, namely -  Peter Jolly's and Circus Mondao. Both Shows are fully licensed and regulated by our Government, and are subject to "on the spot" Inspections at any time as well as unnanounced visits from DEFRA etc (which can only be a good thing). The Animals all have regular Welfare and Veteranary Care, and are all grazing stock -  the beliefs of UK Circus still using Elephants and Big Cats is totally untrue!
The only "WILD" animals that Circus Mondao and Peter Jolly's Circus have are camels, zebra, a red fox, raccoons, zebu, reindeer and Macaw  "classed as wild by DEFRA"   - none of these animals have never been in the "wild" and have been born in a captive environment!
Anyone unfamiliar with Animals in Circus (the general public) are always welcome to come along and see how the animals live in their Extensive Stables and large Grazing Areas which are set up and ready for the Animals arriving on the new Site, each week! They take part in the Show at night, standing on their pedastals and parade around the ring, for each audience, and like ourselves they can have "off days" when they just don't want to perform and  if that happens they are never forced to be displayed in the Circus Ring (come along and see for yourselves).
These Shows tour all over England  each year returning to the same places with a few added new places every year and are greatfully welcomed by the locals in every place, its a great opportunity to allow families, especially younger kids to get up close with the Animals, it may be the only time in ones' lifetime to get up close to a Camel or a Zebra, its an amazing Experience, bearing in mind many families cannot afford to visit a Zoo or a Safari Park, due to increasing costs mainly, so the Circus can be a great Experience all round.
Just to clarify, the Animals are Pets of each Family and are circus bred, and it is the only life they know, and are very happy, settled and content, again don't take our word for it, go along and see for yourself, you are all welcome, there are always experienced trainers and keepers on hand to answer any questions you may have.
The current UK Circus Licensing System has been successfully in place since 2013, and this licensing system shows that Circus Animal Welfare and Husbandry is faultless and to the high standards expected!  Therefore this Government can not place a ban on Welfare Issues, as there simply are no problems or issues! As a result of this, the Animal Rights Groups choose to use "Ethical" methods to instigate hatred and to pursue this proposed Ban, as an alternative, which is wrong and unjust!
Animal-rights advocates, by contrast, argue that humans have no right to use animals at all, in general - for whatever reason – not for food, clothing, or anything else. They believe that all livestock production should be shut down completely. ... Animal welfare allows these uses as long as 'humane' guidelines are followed, which in UK Circus it is, due to being highly regulated and Inspected!
Animal Rights advocates and their groups believe in the ideology that there is no distinction between animals and humans. They view animal ownership as exploitation and slavery. The true goal of Animal Rights Groups is to work for legislation and humane care only until all animals are no longer owned or utilised by human beings, so right now they target Circus!  Who will be next on their Agenda?
In recent years these Shows' have been targeted and made victims of Abuse from Animal Rights Organisations who want this Tradition banned and all for the wrong reasons, It should also be noted that the said groups of people have never visited a Circus or have any factual detail or information to back up their theories, and you will see this, once again by visiting the animals and/or the Show!
The purpose of this GOFUNDME Page is to raise awareness and funding, with a view to Instructing Lawyers to pursue a Case against our Government to have stop such a Ban going ahead, and if it does our Aim is to have the decision challenged, disputed and rescinded!

Just to summarise - Circus is being targeted, what will be next, Keeping Pets in our Homes? Closure of Zoo's? If they can ban the use of 19 Domestic and Exotic Pets in Circus, make no mistake the above could just as easily be banned and made unlawful too!
This looks like the start of banning any performing animal next (Animal Rights have said that is what they want to do) therefore that includes ALL CIRCUS ANIMALS, Reindeer at Christmas Events, Animals on BRITAINS GOT TALENT,  Animals that perform at County Shows etc etc, Race horses, Riding Schools, and even Donkeys on the Beach, sadly the list is endless!
