Lets Bring Ruby13 to The Bronx!

"Luck is when preparation meets opportunity." Sometimes, opportunity catches you with your pants down...

Almost 20 years ago, an artist named Don Edmonson created an unique life size sculpture based on his drawings. This sculpture became the basis for a series of synthetic companions ("sex dolls") known as the Ruby 13 company. Ruby 13 quickly earned a stellar reputation within the small but growing doll lover community thanks to the premium quality and originality of their products, as well as the personal customer service provided by Don until his death in 2013. This legacy has been continued by his son Jim, but unfortunately, Jim is in need to move on to other projects.

For many of us in the doll loving community, these are sad news. We saw Ruby 13 grow from a personal project back in 1999 to a one-of-a-kind manufacturer 8 years ago. Many met Don personally and even those of us who never met him, admire the beauty of these silicone works of art and want that legacy to live on.

My name is Carlos Perez and I am a sex toy reviewer - and doll owner - known as El Casque. I never had the chance of meeting Don in person, but I admire his work. I also admire Jim's dedication to keep the legacy alive in times of increased competition and his desire of making his company grow against all odds.

I entered in the picture two weeks ago when as a wishful comment, I sent an e-mail to Jim asking about the possibility of moving the Ruby13 operations to New York. Incredibly, he is open to the idea of selling me the company.

Jim can sell his company to a Chinese suitor, but Ruby will lose its unique identity. In the best of cases, Ruby will become another line of mid-level quality doll made of TPE. In the worst of the cases, the Ruby designs will become another face and body option from the hundreds offered by the TPE doll makers. Either way, Ruby's legacy will die...

And we do not want that!

Although I have the manufacturing experience and the marketing ideas to make Ruby13 grow, I do not have the money needed to transfer the operations and start the promotional campaign needed to make the company grow.

So, I need your help.

I am asking for a total of $150,000. This money will help me to:
1) Obtain Ruby13 before October of this year
2) Transfer operations to The Bronx, NY.
3) Start production of dolls and accesories by late October / early November of this year.
4) Start developing new faces and body styles by January of next year.
5) Promote the brand in both live and online events

I am not used to ask for help - much less for money -, but I already tried to obtain funding by traditional methods without success. Either I am not allowed to use them due to the nature of the business or they will take too long - for example, using the equity of my house in Puerto Rico will take more than 6 months to process.

If you are interested, check the rewards I will be offering to those who contribute...

NOTE: The discounts offered in the Diamond, Sapphire, and Ruby Levels will be honored if the operations are transferred. They will be reimbursed to donors in the case the transfer does not occur by November 2017. (Minus any GoFundMe charges).
