Keeping the lights on at Milkie's Elmwood Lounge

Mike Milkie was a legendary restaurateur in Buffalo, NY. He owned and operated various establishments from 1959 until 2023. Mike was actively working behind the bar as recently as January 2023, but unfortunately, he passed away on March 23, 2023.

Mike's last business venture, Milkie's Elmwood Lounge, has become a staple of Buffalo's Elmwood Village. Once the site of Lance Diamond's permanent residency in Buffalo, it has since become a welcoming space for live entertainment of all genres where many local artists get their start.

Mike's legacy and the continuation of "The Milkie Way" have been entrusted to Nikki, a longtime employee at Milkie's as well as Mike's dear friend. Nikki has been working tirelessly 7 days a week to repair and refurbish Milkie's so that it can be a successful venture moving forward, but has only been able to do so at great personal expense. Outstanding debts, legal fees, and all costs associated with transitioning ownership have fallen squarely on Nikki's shoulders.

The financial burden is mounting, and Nikki needs our help to keep Milkies operating while long-term funding is secured.
