Taos Alliance for Public Health & Safety was formed in 2018 to address many local residents’ concerns about the increasing developments & deployments of wireless technologies. We deeply appreciate our environment & feel quite blessed to live in such a beautiful place - we hope to keep it that way into the future & for all tourists as well.

 

We are very fortunate to have a substantial fiber-optic system initiated by Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, so an impending 5G network infrastructure is really not necessary & would actually undermine the special qualities that attract so many here.

 

We filed an appeal last year to stop a 50’ cell tower near the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge & we understand this is just the beginning for more planned towers to come. Our case is currently moving through the court system, however we have not yet had a final ruling.

 

We are optimistic that we will prevail in our mission to preserve this wonderful area we call home, for the community & all our visitors - but our legal bills are mounting. We ask you to please help support our efforts with a tax deductible financial donation.
