Keeping Syam's memory alive

Donation protected
Syam was an inspiring thinker, avid reader and a talented photographer. He was a dreamer with a lot of zest in life. He gave up his IT career  in US and went back to school to become a Visual Effects artist. He later moved across the country from Midwest to LA to pursue his passion.  He accomplished one of his dreams and went on to work in Hollywood, contributing to many good creations! Here is a good sample.

Syam, despite being a non-smoker, was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with metastasis to bones in August 2016. Being an otherwise healthy and spirited young man, the expert panel of doctors from UCLA treated him with the most advanced techniques and medicine that are available today. He fought hard with undefeated spirit! For a long time during his treatments he tried his best to keep his life & spirits un-wavered; he biked to work, went on excursions and picnics. He even made a 3 weeks visit to his home country- India amidst this, and travelled across to all his favorite places!

Syam went through a myriad of treatments including surgeries, radiations, chemotherapy and other systemic therapies. But the exponential growth of this aggressive cancer was hard to keep up with. Syam was taken away from us on Dec 21, 2017. He leaves behind a beautiful young family, his wife Kavitha, a 5 year old son and 9 month old baby.

He was a great human being, who had the potential to contribute positively for the whole humanity. He always wanted to give back to the world, the legacy he had received; His body was donated to UCLA research center as per his wish.

Syam was the person with utmost passion towards life - who had a list of hundred new things to try and learn. We aspire to see the same passion in his sons ! The world did not get enough of Syam….we hope to see him live his dreams through his bright young kids. If you feel the same way that we feel, please share your condolences by giving to his cause- so his family can rebuild their life and see what life has in store for them !
