<div>I’m writing this because my mom would never ask for help herself — but right now, our home is in immediate danger, and I can’t sit by and do nothing.

<div>Over the past couple of years, our family has gone through a lot. My stepdad is no longer living in our home due to a court-ordered restraining order put in place for my mental and physical protection. Since then, my mom has been left carrying every single financial responsibility on her own — the mortgage, condo fees, utilities, legal costs — everything.

<div>In the middle of all of this, my dad, Craig Roy, passed away suddenly on October 28, 2024, from alcohol-induced pancreatitis that led to severe sepsis.

</div>

<div>We have now received final warnings from both the mortgage company and the condo association. Without catching up quickly, we are at serious risk of foreclosure. This is extremely urgent. While we may not need the full amount overnight, it’s very likely we need it within the month to keep our home.

</div>

<div>My mom has done everything she possibly can. She’s been a dedicated elementary school teacher in New Hampshire for over 20 years. She works full time, and on top of that, she picked up Walmart Spark deliveries just to bring in any extra money she can. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t slow down. She just keeps going, even when the weight is overwhelming.

<div>At the same time, I’ve had my own setbacks. I’ve been dealing with ongoing medical issues and hospital visits that delayed me getting fully back on my feet. I was recently approved to work as a substitute para, and I’m doing everything I can — but it isn’t enough, fast enough, to stop what’s happening right now.

<div>Why we’re asking for $15,000

</div>

<div>This amount isn’t random. It’s what it will take to stabilize things and keep our home:

<div>	•	$6,000 — overdue mortgage (the most urgent piece)

</div>

<div>	•	$3,000 — severely overdue condo association fees

</div>

<div>	•	$1,000 — an urgent dental procedure my mom needs

</div>

<div>	•	The remaining amount covers legal fees related to the restraining order and divorce, utilities, and other critical bills that piled up when she was suddenly left paying for everything alone

</div>

<div>This isn’t about long-term support or anything extra. This is about keeping our home and getting through this moment.

</div>

<div>My birthday is at the end of this month, and honestly, I can’t think of anything I want more than knowing my mom won’t lose the home she’s worked so hard to keep.
