Keeping Kade at home

Kade was Born with a rare birth defect called schizencephaly.  He has been such a fighter and has endured dozens of hospital stays over the course of his short life.  Most recently Kade was admitted on the 1st of April and has spent the entire month of April in the ICU at le bonheur children’s hospital.  Unfortunately Kade was released from the hospital on 29 April and admitted to hospice care at home.  While we know that Kade is a true fighter and he has proven the doctors wrong several times we have also realized that his disorder is slowly wearing his little body down.  We are starting this fundraiser with much reluctance because we do not want to take advantage of the kindness of other people.  The reason for this fundraiser is in hopes of raising money so that Katie (kades mommy) will be able to stay at home with him and not have to attend work while Kade is under hospice care.  We want to thank everyone who has sent thoughts and prayers to Kade and us over the last 3 and 1/2 years.  Kade has been a blessing for us and we just want him to have his mommy home with him if at all possible.  Thank you
