<li>If you've never lost a job, a place, or even a child, consider yourself extremely blessed. As we approach the season of giving, love, and gratitude, I try to still practice all. This year has been one of the hardest years of my life. In January, I found myself praying for the courage to ask for help and allowed myself to drown simply because I couldn't save my face and my ass. For fear of judgment, rejection, and even resentful thoughts, I did not ask and found myself losing my home. Thankfully, God closed one door and opened another.

<li>Moving forward to where I am today, at this moment, I'm still in my place. However, I've had many sleepless nights because of my financial struggles, but I have been making a way. It's been one week since I was laid off from my full-time employment job, and it is two weeks before Christmas, which also happens to be my son's birthday! While I do know that Christmas is not about gifts, the American tradition says otherwise. Many of you may know, but some of you do not, I am a single mother of two boys who are almost men. Actually, the oldest is considered a grown man, but anyone with children knows that no matter the age, they will always be my babies.

<li>With that being said, and with so much heaviness in my heart, I am asking for help to keep the roof over our heads, food in our mouths, and maybe even a few gifts. To top things off, my car has been in the shop since last month because I live paycheck to paycheck with no room for ANY emergencies. I've applied to 60 jobs in the last week. I even thought of being a DoorDasher, Instacart, or what you may have it; however, as I said, my car is broken. I have proof of all that I am stating, and I am also willing to take a urine analysis for the sake of anyone feeling or assuming I am using any substances at all.

<li>I truly am not sure what God has in store for me at this point; however, He has always made a way. Today, He's giving me the courage to try and save my bottom. I'm sure most people are struggling these days simply because the system is broken. People have bills and problems of their own, and I truly understand. I figured with over 1000 social media friends, it may be put on at least one person's heart to help, share, or even pray. I have worked since I was 14, and I will certainly be working again, although even trying to find work right now is discouraging. I wish everyone a very blessed holiday season, and I truly thank you in advance. Please leave the judgment to the Lord, and think of the children. If not for them, I'd probably already be dead.
