My Name is Cátia, i am from Lagos and i am 37 years old. I am starting my small business in Lagos (Portugal) but sadly i got diagnosed with bad skin cancer. 

After working hard for 3 years setting up my jam, chutneys and cake business i decided its time to open a small place. I have amazing clients by my side and they were really happy about this project. With the help of the family and spending all my savings, we found a place and started to make some renovations (the place is old and really needed it) the landlord was awesome from the beginning. 

After signing the contract, 2 days later i got a call saying i have a bad and fatal skin cancer if not treated. 

I wanted to open in april but i need to get an operation and a graft on my leg, i won't be able to open and work as i wish but i also don't want to loose my business wich i worked hard for. 

I am asking for help via Gofundme to pay for the next two rents and expenses so i can keep my business going. (i will show proof of the payments)

Update : first of all i want to thank you all for the support i got. 

Saddly i am doing another campagne because things turned out to be much more difficult then we thought, when i launched this campagne in april 21st i was hoping to be called right away, well it took 1 month almost end of May. I wasn't able to open my business until now. I got the green card from my doctor last thursday... Until then i wasn't able to work, move or do anything and also depended on others to eat, take a shower for everything i needed help... The expenses with buses, food and weekly appointments in lisbon.. Plus monthly bills (we werent ready for that) were huge. 

The recovery was like hell, i was in pain all the time and depressed it was hard to manage health and your closed business. 

I am allready over 1 year in lisbon and its really hard, you are tired and sad when you leave the hospital, depressed and see a lot of sick poeple around you (the building where i have my appointments is also for children so you can imagine.. Sometimes i feel something is draining my energy out of me) but now i am able to work but still need that last push.

After the operation my body was swollen and i had 9 stiches in my groin area... Where they took the flesh and skin for the graft and 3 lymph nodes. I couldn't stand straight for weeks and my back was in so much pain....

After the first two appointments (the first two appointments were to much for us to handle) i had compresses, knots, staples, stiches... A lot was going on, on my leg so i was to nervous and sad to take fotos. 

The first 10 staples we took out about 10 days after the operation... The pain was unberable without any medictaion not to mention the stiches on the groin area... 
 
Here we took out about 16 staples in total i had around 30 staples on my leg.....
