Keep Officer "Doc" Home
Donation protected
Challenging fellow West St. Paul businesses and residents alike, to contribute to (or even better...match) our donation of $500, in order to keep our very own West St. Paul Officer Canine "Doc" Stanley at home with his partner & handler Officer Joe Gobely!
Doc has been serving our community for almost 2 years. Doc suffered injuries to his back and shoulders which render him unable to perform the rigorous job of being a police Canine.
We only have two weeks to raise funds for the Gobely's to purchase Doc, otherwise Doc will unfortunately have to leave his home and return to the provider. With Doc's bloodline and training the purchase price would be about $8500 and too much for our wonderful Police Officer and wife Ashlee to purchase.
Doc is trained in tracking, apprehension work, agility, article detection, obedience, and narcotics detection. Most of all, Doc enjoyed National Night Out and community events where he was able to play ball with our community and our children.
Officer Joe Gobely has not only served our community of West St. Paul for over 5 1/2 years, he has been a beacon of light in our own neighborhood, and has become our personal friend. We are hoping our community will pull together to pay-it-forward to these two outstanding Officers who work diligently to keep our families and neighborhoods safe.
