Keep Ana Cruz & her children housed

Ana Cruz is a public housing resident, an immigrant, a mother of 3, and a domestic violence survivor. Last year her husband failed to report his income to the Housing Authority and ended up owing $10,000 in back-rent. He signed an agreement to repay the money, and then abandoned the family. Ana is now in the process of a divorce and a restraining order against the man who abused her.

The Housing Authority is holding her accountable to repay the back-rent, and is trying to evict her. A judge has ruled that Ana has 3 weeks (September 8th) to pay $8000 or she will be evicted. The community is demanding that the Housing Authority not evict Ana and punish her for the actions of her accused abuser. We want the City of LA and the Housing Authority to find a solution to keep Ana housed. 

Ana still needs to cover the $8000 in back rent. Please donate to keep her and the family in their home and in their community.  We need to raise $8000 by September 8th! Your support will keep this family in their home and off the streets.
