<div>We have been served notice to leave the buildings that have been the home of WitchLab and WitchLab Lounge. The landlord has stated that they plan to pursue an eviction due to a performance at the Lounge in early August, which they deemed a breach of our lease due to a fire element. Whether they plan to follow through with the eviction or allow us to stay the remaining few months on our lease (fingers crossed for this option), the result will be the same: <strong>WitchLab is moving!</strong>

<div>This is good news! It’s time for a change, and we welcome it. The timing is unexpected, as we had been in lease renewal negotiations for many months and were planning on staying, but that is no longer an option. The timing is also unfortunate as the bar has only been operating for a year and a half, which the building and development of was a financial burden that we had planned on spreading out over many years, and we do not have the resources to do it again so soon.

<div>When is this happening?

<div>We are hopeful that the landlord will allow us to stay until the end of our lease, in which case the move would be in early November. If they decide to pursue the eviction, that timeline is less in our control.

<div>We are working on keeping as many events on the calendar as possible while doing business as usual for as long as we can. If you have an event scheduled with us and would like to discuss what this might mean, please don't hesitate to contact us.
