The city’s new regulations on short-term rentals have left many houses empty and drastically reduced the flow of tourists, along with the food price increases making it nearly impossible for small businesses like Who Dat Coffee Cafe to thrive. The impact has been felt deeply—not only in the cafe’s finances, but in the lives of the staff who have devoted years to serving their neighbors. Despite these challenges, the outpouring of support from the community has been overwhelming, reminding Craig and his team just how much the cafe means to Marigny.
