It's HOT in Arizona and Jeff and Cindy Upshaw have NO A/C!!
After 17 years, their old swamp cooler has finally died. A new air conditioning system is going in next week and it will cost about $5000. Although they've been good about saving a little, what they have is a drop in the bucket. Please help fund their new air conditioning system!
If we go over the funding (and I hope we do!), we will choose one or more of the following:
1. replace their roof, which has been compromised from the sun and the leaking swamp cooler
2. add a front porch to their little house, to keep it a little shady in the hot morning sun
3. invest in a water system that will keep their appliances from getting corroded
4. replace their laminate floor tiles
