<div><strong>Transformative Horsemanship is a horsemanship lesson program located in Candler, NC that is currently impacted by the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.</strong>

<div>While our horses and humans survived, the effects of Helene will impact us for months, if not years. Already, being unable to run business as usual in the past two weeks has had a major economic impact. This alone doesn't even begin to describe the economic, material, and emotional impacts of Helene, but this alone is impactful enough to determine if this project lives or dies.

<div>Transformative Horsemanship is run solely by Hannah Heiser (she/they) who has dedicated her time and efforts since September 25 to meeting her basic needs, amid power, water, and cell service outages, and to throwing herself into community-led disaster relief efforts. Currently, they spend their time trying to get water to folks in Asheville.

<div>Transformative Horsemanship is a unique lesson program that emphasizes the power of relationality in horse-human friendships. We redefine horsemanship in an industry that centers the dominance and objectification of horses and humans alike. Working with total beginners to experienced horse-folk, we work to re-center connection, reciprocity, and love in how we interact with our horses. From the moment you say hello to riding through open fields, there is always the thread of connection reminding us that the reason we do this at all is because we love horses.
