As you may be aware Leicester City Council have just published their development strategy over the next 15 years (2021 - 2036).

As part of their proposed plans they have ear marked 2 plots of land between Leicester Road & Castle Hill Park. 

The current expectation would be to build some 600+ house on these two plots 262 & 580 on the proposed document (see link).

I believe that most residents would prefer to remain a village and not be bordered by a larger estate  (150% bigger than Thurcaston itself!).

As residents of Thurcaston we need to start the fight NOW! 

I have researched and there are companies out there that specialise in these fights. They will help us object to the consultation plan and if required planning application (if we are unsuccessful at the 1st stage). 

I am therefore setting up this fundraiser so we can fight to ‘Keep Thurcaston Rural’.

All donation will be greatly received. These donation will go towards professional services support and to cover any other expenses incurred as part of this Campaign.

To get this fight started an immediate target is £300 but if we reachthe target we will have enough funds to fight to the end!
