Hi family, friends, and neighbors. I am a disabled Vet and my wife is a disabled 1st responder who worked 9/11 in NYC. In February 2024, my wife (Wendy) and I embarked on a life-long dream we didn't know we had until we found the perfect property in Baker, Florida. It was considered to be vacant land, and the seller told me that if we bought the materials, he would be able to construct a tiny home, and we would be able to get a mortgage. It sounded like a good plan. It was... until it wasn't.

We bought many of the materials, and construction started in March. He assured us that it would be done in April... then May... then June, etc., until November when we were trespassed off the property, and the house looked like the picture above, and the deal was canceled. So, now I have a $50,000 half-built house and materials that I cannot access.

We got a good lawyer, but since we used our life savings for this project, we need help with lawyer's fees and court costs.
