<div>Tanya is a single mom living with multiple complex and disabling medical conditions, including Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, CRPS, POTS, MCAS, chronic migraines, long COVID and a degenerative disc disease. Recently, Tanya has also developed some neurological symptoms that are currently being investigated, including tremors, difficulty walking, memory loss, and episodes of aphasia. Tanya is working hard every day to push for answers and stay function to care for her son Jameson.

<div>Right now, Tanya is facing a serious crisis. Her long-term disability benefits (her only source of income) are under serious threat of being terminated due to delays in submission of paperwork from doctors. Tanya has been in treatment consistently for a long time, but the system failed to update the file, and she is working tirelessly to get files completed on her own. But this takes time and the review and approval are at the mercy of those compiling and analyzing the files, leaving a huge void to fill while waiting on the updated approval.

<div>In addition to this, due to an issue with the Healthcare Marketplace, her insurance premium has increased to $575 per month. Once her paperwork files are compiled, she will be able to apply for Medicaid at the end of July, but this could be a long process. The risk of losing healthcare coverage is very real, and would be detrimental to the progress being made in discovering the causes of the latest symptoms as well as maintaining care for everything else. Tanya cannot take a chance on not having medical coverage for any amount of time.
