Keep Rimsky-Korsakoffee House Open!

It’s no secret that the pandemic has been a devastating and challenging time for small businesses around the country. Rimsky-Korsakoffee House is no exception.  While still open for takeout, Rimsky’s has been dealing with significant financial hardships due to COVID-19.  This vibrant, quirky dessert cafe has been an iconic staple for generations of Portlanders. Customers have come to love the eclectic decor, eccentric bathroom, one-of-a-kind servers (who deliver impromptu songs and coffee puns - Mikey we love you!), and community members of all ages who perform live classical music in the stately dining room.  Rimsky’s is more than just a business - for many of us, it’s our second home.  Portland wouldn’t be the same without it, and neither would we. We hope Portlanders, and other patrons who feel touched by Rimsky’s story, contribute what they’re able to help it stay afloat during this incredibly difficult time.  We want to make sure this Victorian gem is here for many years to come.  

This GoFundMe was set up by longtime customers in partnership with its staff and proprietors.  Other than the GoFundMe fees, all proceeds will be given directly to the cafe to cover operating expenses.  We can’t bear the thought of losing a Portland institution such as Rimsky’s.  Please contribute if you are able and/or share to spread the word.  Also, please don’t forget to continue ordering desserts from Rimsky’s - they still do takeout (cash only, but there is a plaid pantry with an atm next door!).
